Dr. Wilfred R. Ehrmantraut, Jr is a board certified Maryland plastic surgeon. He has been in solo practice in Calvert County since 2002. He created Plastic Surgery of Southern Maryland, PA, a Professional Association, to provide the communities of southern Maryland with exceptional cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and exemplary patient care.
Dr. Ehrmantaut operates at both Calvert Memorial and St. Mary's Hospitals, and Prince Frederick Surgery Center where he performs cosmetic, general plastic and reconstructive procedures. He has been performing plastic surgery in Maryland for over fourteen years. Dr. Ehrmantraut is a well respected surgeon by his peers, and has an excellent reputation for producing fantastic results for his patients. He is a compassionate, caring physician who takes extra time with all his patients to listen and answer their questions.
Dr. Ehrmantraut was born in Washington D.C. and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He then completed a five year residency in General Surgery at St. Agnes Healthcare in Baltimore, Maryland, where he spent time training at Maryland's Shock Trauma 
Center and Johns Hopkins University. During those five years, Dr. Ehrmantraut developed a passion for plastic surgery, and went on to complete his training in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. His training covered cosmetic, reconstructive pediatric and hand procedures. Upon graduation, Dr. Ehrmantraut was awarded the Stephen H. Miller, MD Award for Outstanding Teaching by a Plastic Surgery Resident.
A Maryland native, Dr. Ehrmantraut is delighted to call Calvert County his home along with his wife, two sons and daughter.
